An epic feat achieved by the Kurds
The book “Evenings of Keriskan” is Mr. Amir Saeedzadeh’s [also known as Saeed Sardashti] memoirs about his pre-revolutionary activities, his endeavors during the Sacred Defense Era and later his captivity in the prisons of Komala and the Kurdish Democratic grouplet. These memoirs have been compiled by Kianush Golzar Raghib and published by Soore Mehr Publications. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has written a commendation on the book which says, “Despite the fact that I have seen and known some of the Kurdish forces who supported the Islamic Republic from up close, their self-sacrifices that have been described in this book are completely new and astonishing to me. The role of the mother and the wife are truly brilliant as well. The narrator’s and his family’s courage are exemplary. The same is true of some of the other Kurdish personalities mentioned in the book. In addition to this brilliant conduct, the malicious, vicious behavior of those who deceitfully portrayed themselves as the representatives of the honorable Kurdish people has been well described in this book.” On the occasion of the “10th Commemoration of Jihad and Resistance Literature” and the publication of the Leader’s commendation on “Evenings of Keriskan”, Khamenei.ir is publishing an Op-ed written by Mr. Alireza Mokhtarpur Qahrudi, the Chairman of the Public Libraries Association.

The book about CIA’s domination of the press mentioned by Imam Khamenei
In his speech on January 8, 2021, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution mentioned a book by Joel Whitney named "Finks: How the C.I.A. Tricked the World's Best Writers," which speaks about the C.I.A.’s interference in the world’s press and magazines. The Leader spoke of how Global Arrogance distorts historical events and forces world famous authors to reflect their own analysis and interpretation of events.

Which books should we read to gain a better understanding of the US?
In his televised speech on the birthday anniversaries of the Holy Prophet of Islam and Imam Sadiq delivered on November 3, 2020, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to many books which have been written inside the US and which speak of the US’s decline: “The American regime is truly and severely suffering from a political, civil and moral decline and this is not mere analysis. What I am saying here is not merely an analysis, rather this is being acknowledged by themselves. This is being said by their spokespeople, writers, and thinkers inside the US. It is they who are saying this. They have written several books, published with a large circulation, bringing certain truths to light. I have read one of these books translated into Farsi. The book is filled with proofs of this decline. If someone really reads the book, they see that from start to finish, the book speaks of the political decline of the US with the moves made by the current US President. Such an empire will not last long like this.” Khamenei.ir is publishing a discussion from Mr. Hamid-Reza Gholamzadeh Natanzi – an expert on the US and International Affairs – in the program “The 24th Picture” in order to introduce these books:

Book Review
"Hussainʼs (a.s.) Brothers in Arms" by Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei
While at times their strategies and methods have differed, Imam Khamenei maintains that all of the Shi’a Imams have had the same fixed goal and mission. He metaphorically compares the concept of Imamate to a 250-year-old human being. In the following note, the author has introduced the book "Hussain's (a.s.) Brothers in Arms." This book is a series of Imam Khamenei's speeches about political life and the struggles of the Shi’a Imams (pbut). The English translation of this book is soon to be published.

Sartre in Imam Khamenei's words: from condemning colonizers, US war crimes to falling for Zionists
Zionists indeed spread a great deal of false news, both before and after their occupation, through the Zionist media which was then under the rule of Jews. Such false pieces of news were constantly spread, and it was due to these very lies that some of their capitalists were sued. Many believed their lies. They even deceived the French social philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, whom I once used to admire in my youth.

Why does Ayatollah Khamenei recommend everyone to read Rousseau's "History of Science"?
You should take a look at the book "The History of Science" written by Pierre Rousseau. In this book he says, "Around four, five centuries ago, a merchant pays a visit to a professor in a European country. The merchant says, ‘I want my child to go to school. Which school should I send him to?' The professor responds, ...you should send him to Andalusia or to Islamic regions.'"

John Steinbeck exposed US govt's brutal treatment of critics: Ayatollah Khamenei
John Steinbeck, who has written several novels like “The Grapes of Wrath” and other such novels which are very well-known, was subject to the most difficult pressures. Anyone in America who used any word that reeked of socialism – not that it was really about socialism, rather if it gave off a faint smell of socialism – would become subject to all sorts of pressures ranging from physical harm to character assassination.
