Leader: International Community Should Not Pass Over US President's Nuclear Threat

Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met today with a large number of nurses from across the country on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Zeinab al-Kubra (s.a.). Speaking at the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to President Obama's implicit threat to use nuclear weapons against Iran and reiterated: "The implied atomic threat will have no effect on the Iranian nation, but this threat will be a source of disgrace in the political history of America and a black spot in the record of the American government."

Leader: US Government Cannot Be Trusted

Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met today with a number of high-ranking military commanders, including the commanders of the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence referred to the recent remarks by the US President who indirectly threatened to make use of nuclear bombs against Iran and said that such remarks proved that the US government cannot be trusted. He further added that the countries of the world should not pass over the issue easily.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the current situation of the world and the dominance of power, oppression, ignorance, and carnal desires in the world and reiterated that military power, maintaining vigilance, and taking prudent and courageous measures are of great importance in such circumstances.

He further expressed hope that the Mauritanian President's visit to Iran will help expand the cooperation between the two countries.
