The impact the verse "All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds" has on a Muslim

The following is the mindset of a Muslim. He/she attributes all good things to God, he/she believes that everything belongs to God, he/she also believes that he/she him/herself belongs to God, he/she says that all thanks, praise, exaltations, and acclaim are only for God, and he/she measures everything in relation to God. This is the foundation and main rule of Islamic thought and belief. This is what makes a person self-sacrificing. This is what brings a person out from him/herself freeing him from the limited prison of individuality. It is what rescues him/her from the prison of materialism. It lifts his/her attachments up from the humiliation of being the attachments of materialistic people. He/she belongs to God. This is the meaning of “All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.” It is the basis of all Islamic feelings, thoughts, goals, aspirations, and endeavors.
