Muslims have the upper hand in the issue of Palestine

The issue of Palestine is the primary issue of the world of Islam. Fortunately, on the issue of Palestine, Muslims have gradually gained the upper hand. You should take a look at the events of the 50-day war in Gaza and see how a limited number of Palestinians -- who did not have powerful weapons, enough resources, and means of communication -- managed to defeat the Zionist regime which is the symbol of Western power in the region. Notice how they managed to impose their requests upon them and how they frustrated their effort to attack Gaza. This shows that we are strong on the inside. We have many capabilities, we can challenge every enemy, and we can defend ourselves. We should not underestimate our power. The power of Islam, the power of the Holy Quran, the power of faith, and the power of the Islamic Ummah is a great power. --This power should not be underestimated because it can resist oppression. We do not intend to dominate the world, rather we intend to condemn and resist the oppression of arrogant governments that bully Muslim nations. We intend to resist oppression, and we can.

Profit from the spirituality of Hajj

The issue of Hajj is an important issue. Apart from the spiritual blessings and the constructive role of Hajj, this spiritual pilgrimage is an opportunity like many other great opportunities. A people should prove their vigilance by making maximum use of opportunities. Hajj is an opportunity. The Islamic government, Islamic society, and Muslims should appreciate the value of this opportunity. On the one hand, this opportunity can be used for improving and correcting people's religious and spiritual affairs, for enlightening our ignorant hearts, and for drawing the attention of Islamic societies towards divine blessings and on the other hand, it can be used for correcting many important affairs of the Islamic Ummah. The spirituality of Hajj is something to benefit from. More than anywhere else, the opportunity to establish a close relationship with Allah the Exalted, to engage in divine dhikr, and to develop a sense of presence before God exists in Hajj rituals. When we visit the Two Holy Mosques, Mina, Arafat, and Mash'ar, when we engage in dhikr, when we put on ihram costumes, and when we feel that we are responding to the divine invitation, this is a great opportunity. It is a great opportunity for wise and vigilant hearts to strengthen their relationship with Allah the Exalted: we should familiarize our hearts with God. --This is a very important opportunity.

There is no doubt that these orientations have been created by these western powers and their regional agents. It is possible that they are not directly involved in some cases and that they use their agents for this purpose. Of course, they were directly involved in some cases as well. On the issue of Taliban, I do not forget that American newspapers somehow supported and promoted the ideas of Taliban. In the face of opponents, neither get astonished nor panic, not get infuriated

Competitive discourse in academic environments is a good thing provided that it is accompanied by tolerating the opposing views. One should not become surprised, angry and intimidated at the existence of opponents. None of these three feelings is acceptable in the face of opponents. If we become surprised at the existence of opponents, this means that we are overconfident about ourselves. This is the reason why we are surprised when someone is opposed to us, but there is no room for surprise. Well, every individual, every thought, every movement and every orientation has certain opponents. And it is not the case that we think those opponents are necessarily wrong. This is not the case. There are certain weak points and these weak points make some people oppose us. Therefore, the existence of opponents should not make us surprised, as it should not provoke our anger. We should not become angry at their opposition. Opposition is understandable and acceptable. We should not be intimidated either. Being afraid of the existence of opponent’s shows that we are not confident about the power and strength of our position. This should not be the case. We have a reason. We should strengthen and build up the bases of our reason and then we should enter the arena of competitive discourse and engage in discussion. The spirit of students should be like this.

Nuclear sanctions are based on excuses and fabrication

Even if we reach a deal on the nuclear issue, it does not mean that all sanctions will be lifted. There are still other issues to be resolved. This is what we have always said. I have repeatedly said in this meeting and different other meetings that the nuclear issue is an excuse. Even if the nuclear issue did not exist, they would make other excuses. For example, there is the issue of human rights and the issue of women. They fabricate many different issues. Fabricating and making excuses is not a demanding job. During Ramadan, we should establish a spiritual relationship with ourselves and others

The environment of Ramadan is the environment of warmth, spirituality, honesty and purity. We should try to make the most of this environment, both for the sake of our spiritual relationship with God - we should strengthen this spiritual and personal relationship with Allah the Exalted because the best and the greatest advantage for anyone is strengthening this relationship - and for the sake of our eternal life in the hereafter because the real life exists in the hereafter. Making the most of this environment is beneficial for both the hereafter and our life in this world. Besides, we should try to benefit from this spiritual and pure environment - which exists in the month of Ramadan on a public level - for establishing a proper and spiritual relationship between ourselves and other people, for making correct decisions and for adopting proper measures. In our relationships with other people, we should be optimistic, we should have trust in others, we should be kind and well-wishing.

A major opening to salvation is awaiting the reappearance [of Imam Mahdi]

We should wait. The outlook of religions towards the final destination of the caravan of mankind is a very promising outlook. The spirit of waiting and establishing a close relationship with the Imam of the Time (may our souls be sacrificed for his sake) and anticipating the day when he reappears is really one of the greatest gates of salvation [faraj] for the Islamic community. We are waiting for salvation. This anticipation itself is salvation. This anticipating is the gate to salvation. It is promising and revitalizing. It prevents us from feeling desperate, ruined, hopeless and confused about the future. It gives us hope and it provides guidance. This is the point about the Imam of the Time (God's greetings be upon him).

Belief in the Imam of the Time (a.j.) is a component of religions’ worldviews. That is, just as divine religions hold viewpoints within their general worldviews about the universe, mankind, origin and the end of human life’s trajectory—about genesis and resurrection—they also hold viewpoints in their worldviews about the final destination of the caravan of humans. A worldview is a great system which lays the foundation for all the thoughts, obligations and rules of religions. It addresses the issues of the afterlife and the hereafter. Another issue is where the mankind is heading to. If we liken the human community throughout history to a caravan which is taking a specific path, then we are faced with this question: Where is this caravan going? What is the destination of this caravan? What is the end of this path? This is a serious question and every worldview should answer it. Religions have answered this question... all of them believe that this caravan will reach a favorable, sweet and pleasant destination in the end. The main characteristic of this destination is justice. Justice has been humanity's general request from the first day until today and it will remain mankind’s main request until the end. Those people who try to believe in variety, diversity and change in their principles and main philosophies cannot deny the fact that humanity has had certain requests from the first day until today, the most important of which is justice. Humanity is after justice. It has never changed its mind about this demand and in the end, this demand will be met.
