All worship acts are an opportunity to find one’s self again. Human beings, due to becoming negligent with respect to Allah—the Essence and Truth of existence—forget themselves, their souls and their own reality, “…those who forget Allah, so He makes them forget themselves.” (Holy Qur’an 59:19) Today, this is humanity’s greatest pain. Human needs, his/her reality and the purpose of creation have all been forgotten in the wheels of the materialistic systems. What helps human beings turn to Allah and his/her own reality is supplicating and worshipping Allah. Hajj is the best worship act in this regard.
