In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Haj Sheikh Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Eje’i (may his achievements continue),

Mr. Raisi has now been honored with the blessing of the opportunity to serve as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the vote of the people of Iran. I thank him very much for his valuable services during the time he carried out responsibilities in the Judiciary and for the honorable record he has left in laying a strong foundation for changes. I now appoint you Head of the Judiciary Branch, on the basis of Article 157 of the Constitution. In addition to your legal competence, you have valuable experience, a deep understanding and a brilliant record in judicial matters.

Firstly, I expect you to pay serious attention to the fundamental responsibilities of the Judiciary as specified in the Constitution. These responsibilities include: administering justice, restoring people’s rights, safeguarding legal liberties, supervising the execution of the law, preventing crimes and combating corruption in a decisive manner.

Secondly, I expect you to continue the transformational approach in the Judiciary Branch and to execute the existing plan for transformation in a diligent manner.

Thirdly, I expect you to increase the use of current technologies in the Judiciary and to ensure the people’s easy, free access to judicial services.

Fourthly, I expect you to entrust responsibilities to competent, industrious, pious, virtuous individuals and to train worthy managers for high and middle level positions in the Judiciary and Administration.

Fifthly, I expect you to honor the services rendered by pious judges and to protect their dignity and status. At the same time, I also ask you to deal decisively with the small number of people who commit wrongdoings in the Judiciary Branch.

And sixthly, I expect you to be in contact with the people and to be present among them, as this brings many blessings.

I ask God, the Exalted, to bestow success on you and your colleagues, and I hope that by God’s power and strength, your services will please God and His servants.

Greetings be upon you and God’s mercy
