The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei in a meeting last night with judges, qurra, and memorizers of the Holy Quran participating in the 25th international Quranic competitions described adherence to the Holy Quran as the only way to save the Islamic Ummah and reiterated: "Holding such competitions plays an important role in guiding the nation and the Islamic Ummah towards understanding, reflecting on, and getting acquainted with the Holy Quran." His Eminence described familiarity with the thought and cultures of Islamic countries as one of the other advantages of holding such competitions and added: "Today, sowing the seeds of discord among Muslim nations and countries is one of the most serious plots of the enemies which is aimed at defeating Muslim countries."
Ayatollah Khamenei also urged the foreign participants taking part in the competitions to convey the Iranian nation's message of friendship and kindness to their fellow countrymen.
