In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
"And do not say of those who are killed in the way of God, 'They are dead.' Rather, they are alive, but you perceive it not." (Quran, 2:154)
With profound grief, sorrow, and regret, the great commander of the Islamic Ummah, the supreme and exalted Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, has been martyred at the hands of the most wicked of all creation. This monumental loss constitutes the gravest trial facing the Islamic world today. The assassination of the highest political authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the preeminent Leader and religious authority of the Shia world, by the malevolent US-Zionist axis, amounts to an open declaration of war against Muslims — particularly Shia communities across the globe.
Over the course of 37 years under the wise guidance and Leadership of the exalted martyr, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, our beloved Iran continued the luminous path of Imam Khomeini (ra) with strength and resolve, emerging as a bastion of anti-arrogance and the pursuit of independence. A great and divinely inspired Leader who, drawing upon the will, votes, and voice of the people, bestowed dignity and honor upon the Iranian nation, standing as a monumental pillar — a thorn in the side of the enemies of Islam and Iran.
His prudence and foresight, his steadfastness and resilience against oppression, his devotion to Imam Khomeini and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, his compassion and kindness, his knowledge and forbearance, his honesty and sincere faith in Almighty God, have etched the name of the exalted martyr, Imam Khamenei, immortal and enduring, alongside Imam Khomeini (ra) in the annals of contemporary history. Truly, nothing less than martyrdom in the arena of struggle against the enemies of Islam could befit the name and stature of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
The Islamic Republic of Iran regards seeking retribution and avenging the perpetrators and instigators of this historic atrocity as its legitimate right and duty. It will devote its full capacity to fulfilling this great responsibility and obligation.
Once again extending my condolences to the Islamic Ummah, the noble nation of Iran, and all devotees and followers of this eternal Leader, I affirm my unwavering resolve and steadfast determination to continue the path of this monumental figure in history. I beseech Almighty God to grant ever-increasing harmony and solidarity among the officials and the noble Iranian nation in pursuing the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the expansion of justice and freedom in society.
