On the 5th day of his trip to Fars province, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei delivered a speech to thousands of enthusiastic people in Nurabad. In his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed the need for accurate planning and utilizing all human and economic resources by officials in order to improve the country's economic status and added: "All people and officials should, as a national duty, work collectively and within a timetabled plan with the necessary determination and persistence to reach a point where sanctions and embargoes could no longer influence the country."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the plots of the Iranian nation's enemies during the previous years and their failure to undermine the Iranian nation's determination and added: "The enemies of the Islamic Republic currently assume that they could undermine the Iranian nation's determination through economic sanctions and threats, but the great Iranian nation will oppose their plots as it has done during the last thirty years by emerging victorious out of different kinds of sanctions and embargoes." He said: "The Iranian nation has taken great strides towards progress during the last 30 years."
His Eminence stressed the need for developing plans to make the country independent in economic areas and added: "It is upon the Islamic Republic government to develop accurate plans to utilize the capacities of the Iranian nation in order to overcome the difficulties."
Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to some of the threats by the arrogant powers, and addressing these powers said: "Have you not put the Iranian nation to the test before? We will strongly continue on our path, and will not let the arrogant powers trample upon our nation's rights."
His Eminence reiterated that sanctions will not cause the Iranian nation to retreat and added: "The Iranian nation has found its way towards progress, dignity, independence, and implementing the religious principles in the country and no threats could cause the Iranian nation to reverse its decision."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described attention to Islamic principles as the only way towards the Iranian nation's prosperity and added: "After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian nation has prospered even more when it has paid attention to Islamic principles." He added: "The enthusiastic, brave, vigilant, and conscious Iranian nation is well aware of its duties and rights and will decidedly claim those rights."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described nomads as a source of glory and grandeur for the country and added: "Unlike other countries, the existence of various people from different ethnic backgrounds is considered an advantage in our country, which is because the nomads have always guarded nationality, religion, and spirituality and are interested in Islamic principles and indigenous traditions."
Ayatollah Khamenei advised the youth, especially the nomads, to increase their knowledge through extensive reading and urged them to refer to intellectuals who are well familiar with Islamic thought to strengthen their faith. Also referring to the problems and limitations of Nurabad, Ayatollah Khamenei stated: "Such limitations warrant special attention by the officials to this region."
Also in this regard, Ayatollah Khamenei said: "Of course one of the positive points of the current diligent government is its trips to different provinces, cities, and regions across the country, and close investigation of the difficulties in those areas which is a cause for delight."
At beginning of this meeting, Ayatollah Hosseini, the Friday prayer leader of Nurabad, welcomed the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the city.
