The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, late on Monday called on Foreign Ministry officials and ambassadors to respect the Islamic Republic's principles and values and told them to remember their commitment to the system in their talks with officials from other countries.
He also stressed that some international laws have been imposed on the world which Iran cannot accept because accepting them would mean abandoning our national identity and principles and the values of the Islamic Republic.
Iran cannot abandon its principles only to please the West, the United States in particular.
He stressed the need to use religious faith as a tool to maintain Iran's national security. Democracy in Iran must be built up on the people's religious beliefs, and Iran's democracy must not be influenced by the U.S. and Western countries, he said.
The Leaders' remarks illustrate the significance of diplomacy in strengthening Iran's system and the importance of adopting appropriate strategies in order to help Iran realize its goals. Therefore, Iranian officials should concentrate on foreign policy now more than ever.
The Islamic Republic's foreign policy is based on independence and preserving the values and principles of the Islamic system, which is the symbol of national sovereignty. This is why it is not acceptable to abandon principles.
Iranian ambassadors and charges d'affaires have a responsibility to the nation to carry out their important task.
With Iran facing increasing international pressure, psychological warfare, and false accusations, officials' shoulder a great responsibility at point this time.
The Leader also discussed strategies for protecting the identity of the system and the principles and values of the Islamic Republic.
He expressed strong opposition to dialogue with the United States, calling for resistance against U.S. influence.
Experience shows that there is no common ground between Iran and the U.S., so dialogue and relations with it can solve nothing.
The main objective of Washington in proposing dialogue is to prepare the way for the imposition of its wishes on other countries and the realization of its goals.
The U.S. government is trying to establish a unipolar world system but lacks the political, moral, and ideological competence to lead the world.
The Leader said that the best way to uphold national sovereignty is by honoring Islam and upholding the Islamic Revolution's principles.
He described why the Islamic Republic is opposed to certain international laws imposed by superpowers, saying that, in reality, some international laws are now being used as tools by superpowers to impose their policies on other countries.
He added that advocating freedom, defending human rights, combating terrorism, and maintaining international security are being used as pretexts to implement this plot, which actually aims to manipulate the international system.
