The world must realize why US and Israel are hostile towards Islam: Ayatollah Khamenei

We the Muslims have two main duties: one is that we should introduce real Islam to non-Muslims; the other is about ourselves. We should understand the reasons behind the animosity that the arrogant world powers practice against Islam.

On the Eid al-Mab'ath, the anniversary of Muhammad's (pbuh) appointment to the Prophethood, a group of officials and ambassadors from Islamic countries met with Ayatollah Khamenei this morning April 25, 2017.

At this meeting Ayatollah Khamenei stressed: In the Islamic Republic of Iran there has been--All praise is due to God--one manifestation of the many manifestations of the Prophet's governance and it continues to be. After the establishment of the Islamic Republic, enemies of human societies--not just the enemies of Islam--began to confront Islam as something that is a source of growth for human societies.

The leader of the revolution added: today the enemies of human societies confront Islam. Why? Because, Islam is the source of growth for humankind. It is the source of the emergence of talent. It is the source of the creation of a shared and common spiritual and material civilization. Because, Islam can stop the transgressions of the oppressive modern materialistic civilization, hence they target Islam..

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that the enemy uses many forms of confronting Islam and stated that the formation of terrorist groups, in the name of Islam, is one of those conspiracies. "This is a conspiracy. Setting Islamic countries against one another and getting them tied into wars are other forms of hostility [they practice against Islam]," he said.

Ayatollah Khamenei further held that today the source of this animosity is in the hands of the US and the Zionists. He added, "The Zionist, a vicious and usurper regime in Palestine, and the oppressive and arrogant government backing them in the US have assailed Islam."

"Today they assail the Islamic Republic more than anywhere else, because Islam has manifested more clearly in Iran, and there is more room in this country for acting upon Islam. They are against Islam, because it interferes with their greed," said Ayatollah Khamenei.

Ayatollah Khamenei finally said: We Muslims should realize this. We the Muslims have two main duties: one is that we should introduce real Islam to non-Muslims; the other is about ourselves. We should understand the reasons behind the animosity that the arrogant world powers practice against Islam.

    Mr. Kyle McLaughlin. When he speaks about America or the West he is speaking primarily about the government and its systems that oppess not only muslims but also its own citizens. It should notbe understood as a blanket statement about all Americans. You understand we Muslims in America are no less American than our non muslim counterparts.

    This is Christmas Day (evening) here in the USA, I have refused to go along with the rest of my family to dinner @ my daughters, in part, because at the ripe old age of 77 (78 in a couple weeks) I no longer have time for frivolousness of a holiday which so few understand, let alone know much of the actual truth of the season.
