President Ahmadinejad Meets the Leader

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei on Sunday, September 30.
The meeting took place following President Ahmadinejad's visit to New York, where he participated in the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Speaking at the meeting, the Leader referred to the Iranian president's visit to New York as a good and fruitful trip that brought honor and dignity to the Iranian nation.
"Your speech at Columbia University and what took place there, and also your address to the UN General Assembly, on the whole, brought honor to the Iranian nation," the Leader told the president.
Ayatollah Khamenei further expressed satisfaction with the statements and behavior and attitude of President Ahmadinejad on his visit to the United States. He pointed out that the content of the Iranian president's statements and his attitude to and way of dealing with various issues were appropriate.
At the meeting, President Ahmadinejad presented a report about the results of his visit to the United States and Bolivia and Venezuela.
