Leader Appoints New LEF Commander

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, on July 9, 2005, appointed Brigadier General Esma'il Ahmadi-Moqaddam the new Commander of the Law Enforcement Force (LEF). In his decree, the Leader also expressed his appreciation for the services of the former LEF commander Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf. The text of the Leader's decree is as follows:...

 

 

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Brigadier General Esma'il Ahmadi-Moqaddam,

Considering your commitment, revolutionary background and long years of service in various military and disciplinary positions, I hereby appoint you the Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Law Enforcement Force.

One of the most important duties of the Law Enforcement Force is to ensure the kind of security in the whole country that befits the Islamic Republic and to provide calm and peace of mind for the general public.

You are expected to make use of all your capabilities, potentials and initiative and with the help and cooperation of your faithful, revolutionary and dedicated personnel try to raise the quality of the services rendered and assignments carried out by the force and complement the valuable achievements of the previous commanders, especially the former commander Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf.

All relevant government organs are expected to cooperate with the Law Enforcement Force in the best possible manner.

I express my appreciation for the sincere and selfless efforts made by the former commander Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf and Brigadier General Ali Abdollahi in his capacity as acting commander of the force.

I pray to Almighty Allah to bestow success on you all in performing your responsibilities.
