The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei in a decree issued on January 10, 2006 appointed Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadiyan the new director of his representative office in the Iranian universities. The appointment came following the resignation of the former director of the Leader's Representative Office in the Iranian universities, Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi, from his position.
