Leader Appoints New Director of Representative Office in Universities

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei in a decree issued on January 10, 2006 appointed Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadiyan the new director of his representative office in the Iranian universities. The appointment came following the resignation of the former director of the Leader's Representative Office in the Iranian universities, Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi, from his position. The chairman of the Council of the Leader's Representatives in the Iranian universities, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, recommended Hojjatoleslam Mohammadiyan to the Leader for the office. I express my heartfelt appreciation for the valuable services rendered by Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi while his was holding the position, and I happily accept your recommendation concerning Hojjatoleslam Mohammadiyan, who is characterized by a high level of knowledge, piety and virtues, and hereby appoint him new director of the representative office in universities.
I hope he will try to further promote the auspicious drive that has emerged in the country's creditable academic environment through his prudence and insight and incessant efforts.

Furthermore, Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi was appointed by the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei to the High Council of Cultural Revolution and also the Council of the Leader's Representatives in the Iranian universities.
