Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution appointed Dr. Ahmadinejad as member of the Expediency Council. The following is the full text of this edict issued on August 5, 2013.
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Dr. Ahmadinejad (may his achievements continue),
Considering your valuable eight-year efforts in the crucial position of the presidency and the great experience that you gained in this position, I appoint you as member of the Expediency Council.
I ask Allah the Exalted to bestow success on you.
