Leader Appoints New Commander of the Naval Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, in a decree issued on August 20, 2007 appointed Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari new commander of the Naval Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army. The text of the Leader's decree is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari,
Considering that you have been recommended by the chief commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army, and in view of your bright record of military service, I hereby appoint you commander of the Naval Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army.
You are expected to raise the level of capabilities and preparedness of the force which witnessed considerable progress during the years of the Sacred Defense and afterwards as a result of the efforts and endeavors on the part of the commanders and personnel of the force.
I express my appreciation and gratitude for the sincere efforts that were made by Rear Admiral Koucheki while he was holding this position of responsibility.
I pray to Almighty Allah for your increased success in performing your duties.
