On the occasion of the arrival of the days of mourning for the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain (pbuh), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, attended the second night of mourning ceremonies that were held in Imam Khomeini’s Hussainiyah on Friday, August 5, 2022. Due to an increase in the Coronavirus pandemic, these ceremonies will be held without people in attendance this year, similar to the way they have been conducted the last two years.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, attended the first night of mourning ceremonies, for the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain (pbuh) and his faithful companions, on Thursday, August 4, 2022, which was held in the Hussainiyah of Imam Khomeini. Due to an increase in the Coronavirus pandemic, these ceremonies will be held without people in attendance this year, similar to the way they have been conducted the last two years. These ceremonies will be held for six consecutive nights from the night of the seventh to the twelfth of the month of Muharram (Thursday, August 4 through Tuesday, August 9, 2022).
