The Qur’an Recitation Ceremony, which is held every year on the first day of the month of Ramadan, was held this year via videoconference with the presence of a number of outstanding reciters of the Holy Qur’an today, April 25th, 2020. After the Qur’an was read by these reciters, Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, described the Qur’an as a “Book of Life” for all of humanity and as a book which can bring people bliss in this world and the next.

It was broadcasted live on radio and television channels as well as on the official social media accounts of KHAMENEI.IR. Due to the health guidelines issued by the National Committee on Combating Coronavirus against public gatherings, this ceremony was held through a videoconference with the presence of a number of outstanding reciters of the Qur’an in the Imam Khomeini Musallah.

There are devils from among jinn, but the effect they can have is limited

In his New Year speech, which was delivered on March 22, 2020, Imam Khamenei stated that one should not be taken by surprise when one sees fierce enmity towards the Islamic government, and added, “Well, we have many enemies and we should not be surprised at this. As I mentioned, Allah the Exalted has said in the Holy Qur’an, ‘And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, the devils from among men and jinn some of them suggesting to others varnished falsehood to deceive (them).’ [Holy Qur’an, 6:112] There are enemies from among both jinn and human beings, and they help one another. The security services of many countries work together against us.” The Supreme Leader’s reference to enemies from among men and jinn caused a stir in some media services. For this reason, Khameneir.ir has conducted an interview with Ayatollah Ahmad Abedi, a professor of prominence in the seminaries and the universities, asking him to expand on the Supreme Leader’s statement from the point of view of the Qur’an.

The Holy Jamkaran Mosque has always been a place for praying and seeking the help of the Imam of the Age (may Allah, the Exalted, hasten his blessed reappearance). However, during the reign of the rebels (the Pahlavi era), they tried to make people forget about this Mosque. Nonetheless, thanks to the victory of the Islamic Revolution, this Mosque has recovered its true position and has turned into a place for holding spiritual ceremonies, religious seclusion and seeking the Imam’s (‘a.j.) assistance. Imam Khamenei is very committed to visiting this holy place to pray and perform his daily prayers. About this Mosque, he has said, “When we know with certainty, or find it very probable, that a certain place receives the attention of the ‘Friends of God,’ surely that place is more spiritual. The auspicious Jamkaran Mosque is one of these places and centers where the environment is prepared for people to pay attention to Allah, the Exalted, and to engage in saying recitations, showing humbleness to God, and beseeching Him.” On the occasion of the month of Sha’ban and the anniversary of the birth of the Imam of the Age (may our souls be sacrificed for his sake), Khamenei.ir has conducted a short interview with Hujjatul-Islam Muhammad Hassan Rahimian, the trustee of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque.
