On the anniversary of the passing of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and the martyrdom of his grandson, Imam Hassan (pbuh), Ayatollah Khamenei attended a mourning ceremony which was held in Imam Khomeini Hussainiyyah on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this ceremony was held without the presence of the people.

The joint graduation ceremony for the cadets studying in the academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces, was held on Sunday morning October 3, 2021 at Imam Hussain (pbuh) University. Imam Khamenei, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, attended this ceremony via videoconference. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the ceremony was held with only a number of the exemplary units from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, Guard Corps and Police in attendance.

Imam Khamenei attended Arbaeen mourning ceremony

The mourning ceremony of Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (pbuh) was held via videoconference with the presence of the Leader of the Revolution on September 27, 2021. In previous years, groups of university students used to mourn and commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (pbuh) with Leader’s presence in the Hussainiyyah of Imam Khomeini. However, this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this Arabeen ceremony was held at the University of Tehran with Leader’s taking part via videoconference.

Sanctions must be removed first; then we’ll carry out our commitments

As is customary every year, the Qur’anic Recitation Ceremony, which is held on the first day of the month of Ramadan, was held in the presence of the Leader of the Revolution. It was broadcast live on radio and television channels as well as on the official social media accounts of KHAMENEI.IR. Due to the health guidelines issued by the National Committee on Combating Coronavirus, which restrict public gatherings, this ceremony was held by way of the videoconference with a number of outstanding reciters of the Holy Qur’an in attendance in the Imam Khomeini Musallah. In this ceremony, Imam Khamenei emphasized that the other parties have not fulfilled their promises dozens of times and they have acted against them. That is why they must first do what the Islamic Republic says, “First the sanctions must be removed, then Iran will carry out its commitments in the JCPOA.”
