We tried negotiations to no result; We can nullify sanctions

The Supreme Council of Economic Coordination held a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in attendance. This meeting was held with the participation of the heads of the three branches of government (judiciary, executive, and legislative) and other members of this Council today, Nov. 24, 2020, in Imam Khomeini’s Hussainiyah. In this meeting, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, said the only way to counteract sanctions is to "nullify and overcome them." His Eminence stated, "We tried to remove the sanctions through negotiations one time, but it was fruitless.”

The savage civilization of the West

Imam Khamenei considers the French government’s supporting the incident relating to insulting the Holy Prophet and assisting Saddam’s regime to attack Iran to be two sides of the same coin. His Eminence described these actions as being a manifestation of the savage civilization of the west. The leader has referred to the savage actions of western countries in both their use of soft power and hard power in his different speeches. The Supreme Council of Economic Coordination held a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in attendance. This meeting was held with the participation of the heads of the three branches of power (judiciary, executive, and legislative) and other members of this Council today, Nov. 24, 2020, in the Hussainiyah of Imam Khomeini. The Supreme Council of Economic Coordination was created in April 2018 at the order of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution due to the economic conditions that had arisen because of sanctions.

American Human Rights: The Waco Massacre

The Waco massacre and the act of burning the followers of the Davidian sect – a manifestation of American human rights! – received Ayatollah Khamenei’s attention as he stated in his Friday prayer sermons delivered on June 19, 2009: “In the US – one is shocked at hearing this – during the time of a Democratic government, they burned alive around 80 followers of the Davoodi sect. This cannot be denied in any way. It was their excellencies – the Democrats – who did this. The Davoodi sect – they refer to them as the Davidians – provoked the US government’s rage for some reason. They took refuge inside a house. They tried to force them out, but they did not get out. So, they burned the house, thus burning alive 80 men, women and children. Do you Americans understand what human rights mean?” The present Op-Ed tries to study the Waco massacre, committed by the US government, from a human rights point of and therefore, it does not intend to study or approve the Davidian tenets and principles from a religious point of view.
