Another issue is the role that families play. Your loved one is at sea for eight months! You’re worried, you miss them, and you don’t know what to tell your children. Parents one way and spouses another way have been patient. When I saw the pictures of the families of the sailors when they came back to our shores, I could sense the feeling of pride in their wives and parents. This feeling of pride motivates both you and others to accomplish these kinds of great tasks.
