The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, “Some of the enmities that exist against the Islamic Republic are political. For example, in the case of Palestine, the Islamic Republic has taken one stance, the [world] powers have taken a different stance. [Thus], enmity is created. These things are not very important. That which is more important is the inherent enmity. The nature of the Islamic Republic creates this enmity. There are some who believe that we should follow the West’s approach in all small and big issues. The Western approach is liberal democracy. Religion and such things do not exist in their approach at all. The leaders of liberal democracy themselves have designed a plot to dominate the world using the banners of liberalism and democracy. When there is an Islamic Republic, it brings democracy and freedom with it. But it also sets religion as a condition next to these and foils that plot. When you set religion alongside democracy, this creates enemies for you. The reason for this is that it nullifies their plot.
