Appointment of Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan as Commander-in-Chief of the Police Force

In a decree, Imam Khamenei appointed Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan as Commander-in-Chief of the Police Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The text of the decree of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is as follows.

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan,

Due to Genral Ashtari's commission coming to an end, and while expressing my appreciation and satisfaction with his services, I appoint you as the Commander-in-Chief of the Police Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

My strong advice is that you should seek the Almighty God’s satisfaction and also the satisfaction of the dear people when protecting security and ensuring public welfare. Other important recommendations include improving the organization’s capabilities, preserving the dignity of personnel, and training specialized police officers for various security departments.
