In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful
With great regret, I have received the news of the demise of the diligent scholar Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Muhammadi Rey Shahri (may God’s mercy be on him). For those who are aware of the piety, moral health and continuous endeavors of that revolutionary cleric, his demise is a bitter, sad loss. The diversity of the activities of this godly scholar – in the fields of science, ethics, revolutionary activities, politics and administrative affairs, all of which were carried out with sincerity and purity – had turned him into a personage with few peers.
I only saw good and piety in him in the decades I was familiar with him. I hope these valuable traits will bring divine mercy for him, forgiveness and an exalted position.
I sincerely express my condolences to his honorable children, his family and all his friends, colleagues, students and admirers.
