We should ask ourselves where we stand in the relentless battle btw. truth & falsehood

On January 23, 2022, a number of the eulogists for the Household of the Holy Prophet (pbut) met with Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on the occasion of the auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her). In referring to the lofty characteristics of Hazrat Siddiqa al-Kubra, including her social undertakings and selfless service to the people, the Leader of the Revolution described heyats [a group of people who hold religious gatherings to remember and honor the Household of the Prophet (pbut)] as being the focal point for great struggle on the path of God. He stated, “The heyats should be places for enlightening the people and providing convincing, correct answers to the questions posed by society, particularly by the youth.”

In expressing his congratulations on the occasion of the anniversary of the births of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (pbuh) and Imam Khomeini (may God bestow paradise on him) and the celebrations of Mother’s Day and Women’s Day, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the exemplary characteristics of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (PBUH) on the basis of the verses of the Qur’an. He said, “Her status as the embodiment of purity, her work for God, her selfless service, and her confrontation with the front of falsehood in the event of Mubahalah are some of her unique qualities that have been clearly referred to in the Holy Qur’an.”

In speaking about the verses of the chapter “The Man” (Al-Insan), Imam Khamenei stated that selfless service and sincere assistance to the needy are important signs of a Fatimi society (a society whose role model is Hazrat Fatimah). He explained, “By God’s favor, after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian society has become Fatimi. Throughout the past 43 years, we have been witness to Fatimi moves on multiple occasions such as during the Sacred Defense; in the self-sacrificing, scientific movements launched by people such as Fakhrizadeh, the nuclear martyrs and the great scientist, the late Kazemi Ashtiani; and also during natural calamities such as floods and earthquakes.”

His Eminence described the activities during the Coronavirus pandemic and the services that were rendered and continue to be rendered without having any expectations as being another instance of following the role model of Hazrat Fatimah. He emphasized, “Hazrat Fatimah Zahra should be a role model in all areas, especially in the areas of social and revolutionary moves.”

Elsewhere in his statements, Imam Khamenei touched on the issue of heyats and stated, “The basis for the formation of heyats as a social unit is love for the Household of the Prophet and keeping alive their path and teachings. They first took form during the time of the Imams themselves.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that heyats are based on the concept of jihad. He went on to say, “Not every good, appropriate effort is jihad. Jihad means endeavor aimed at taking action against the enemy. In every period, the realm of jihad should be identified correctly.”

Pointing to the various areas of jihad in different periods – military jihad, scientific jihad and jihad in social activities and services – His Eminence stated, “As an example, offering social services to the people in situations where the enemy is trying to turn the people against the Islamic system by bringing economic pressure on them is a valuable jihad.”

In addition, the Leader of the Revolution referred to the extensive movements of the enemies of the Iranian nation to lead astray the thoughts of the people and destroy their faith and beliefs by way of the mass media and by employing thousands of experts in the fields of art and media. He explained that these efforts are backed by the enemies’ substantial financial support and also support in terms of security. As a result, Imam Khamenei described jihad for clarification and enlightenment as being the most important area of jihad. Furthermore, he said, “In the face of this satanic move (of the enemies), the heyats should ask themselves where they stand in the relentless battle between the fronts of truth and falsehood and the confrontation between deceitful and truthful narratives.”
