The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei this morning paid a 3-hour visit to an exhibition of the latest scientific and technological advances made by Iranian scientists and experts.
In the exhibition, which was held at Imam Khomeini Hussainiyya, around 50 new innovations were put on display in such fields as: nanotechnology, microelectronics, communications, information technology, new energy sources, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and medical plants, as well as nuclear science and technology.
Some of the products and innovations were presented for the first time in the country, and the technology used for the innovations are in the possession of only a few countries.
At the end of the visit, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that it was necessary to facilitate the process of inspecting new scientific innovations and projects in the country and added: "Due to the abundance of talent in the country, the president's deputy for science should make plans to facilitate the process of inspecting new plans and accelerate the process of allocating funds to such projects."
His Eminence also reiterated that it was necessary to suitably broadcast the latest technological and scientific advances made in the country and said that duplication had to be avoided in such projects.
