Imam Khamenei appoints new Navy Commander

Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, issued a decree on August 17, 2021, appointing Rear Admiral Shahram Irani as the new Navy Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army. The following is the full text of this decree.

In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

 

Rear Admiral Shahram Irani,

In light of your commitment and brilliant credentials, and at the suggestion of the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, I hereby appoint you as the Navy Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army.

It is expected that you will show firm, due determination in utilizing the full potential of the Navy of the Army’s Armed Forces in the country in order to bring about a jihadi, revolutionary advancement in that force and to optimize its effectiveness and preparedness in all areas based on the growth and development of human resources.

In addition, I wish to thank Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi for his valuable endeavors in carrying out this responsibility.

I ask God, the Almighty, to bestow success on everyone.
