The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Dr. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel and Saeed Jalili as his senior advisor and representative in the National Security Council respectively.
The Leader's message to Dr. Haddad Adel reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Dear Dr. Haddad Adel,
Due to your valuable experience in political and cultural arenas during your previous terms in office, especially during your term as the head of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and with the aim of utilizing those capacities and experience, I hereby appoint you as my senior advisor. I hope that you will render valuable services like before as you take on this responsibility.
I pray to Allah the Exalted to bestow success on you.

The Leader's Message to Mr. Saeed Jalili reads as follows:
Dear Mr. Saeed Jalili,
I hereby appoint you as my representative in the National Security Council for a three-year term in accordance with article 176 of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Due to the prominent role of the decisions of the Council in realizing the independence and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is expected that you will contribute to the power and independence of the progressive Islamic government through your active presence in the Council and exchange of views with me.
I deem it necessary to thank Mr. Larijani for his years of valuable service as my representative in the Council.
