The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, in a meeting with hundreds of elites and intellectuals of Fars province, described the exceptional talents, determination of the nation and the elites, the religious and divine motives of the nation, and previous historical record as the national assets of the Iranian nation and reiterated: "Under the influence of such important factors, the prospect of the Iranian nation's movement is promising and by Allah's favor this great nation will revive the Islamic civilization for the Islamic community during the current era."
His Eminence described the slogan of innovation as a true slogan and stressed that innovation was an imminent need for the country. He added: "Innovation means providing the foundations for the flourishing of talents and thoughts, and utilizing previous experience for making rapid progress and shaping a bright future for the country which is an important duty upon our nation, officials, and elites today."
Ayatollah Khamenei described turning autocracies into a system in which the nation's will was the key factor, as the basic difference between the Islamic Republic and previous systems and added: "By Allah's favor, such national determination which is rooted in religious and Islamic principles, is leading us towards progress and the achievement of the nation's goals, and we should value this new era in the Iranian history."
His Eminence described the capacities of the Iranian nation as an unending resource and stated: "This nation has always been productive and prominent, and can make up for its 200-year stagnation which was caused by the dependant governments which ruled this nation in the past." He said: "The Iranian nation can make up for such stagnation through determination, making concerted efforts, and innovation in all fields and arenas."
Elsewhere in his speech, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution asked the youth to make a rapid movement towards progress and development and stated: "Universities, Islamic seminaries, research centers, and the officials in different sectors should all shoulder the great responsibility to hasten this process of progress and flourishing of talents."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution advised the nation's elites to infuse the public and especially the youth with hopefulness and stated: "The elites and intellectuals should oppose the enemies' deadly poison, namely the propagation of despair among the nation, and clarify the path towards a bright future for the Iranian nation."
His Eminence referred to the bright prospects and great hopes for progress in the country and added: "I hope that our youth will witness a country which is at the heights of perfection and civilization before the arrival of the next generation, and will witness a country that other nations, scientists, and world's scholars will depend on in such arenas as science and culture."
Ayatollah Khamenei also stressed the need for considering the important points which were mentioned by the elites of Fars province and stated: "The aim of such friendly meetings with elites and intellectuals is to reveal part of the valuable human resources of the country and drawing the public's attention towards the fact that the elites and the valuable talents of the Iranian nation are the inexhaustible sources of this nation's honors."
