If the Iranian nation does its duty, the "maximum pressure" policy will be a punch to the U.S.

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Dr. Beheshti and his companions, the National Conference of the Judiciary was held with Imam Khamenei's attending via videoconference this morning, June 27, 2020.

Imam Khamenei stressed the necessity of protecting the country against the enmities of the US and England and against the measures adopted by European governments. He stated that if the Iranian nation carries out its duties, they will not be able to achieve their goals and the result of their so-called “maximum pressure” policy, which they have adopted to bring the Iranian nation to its knees, will be them being struck by the Iranian nation’s punch.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution added, “By Allah’s grace, the enemies have always hit a brick wall in pursuing their plans, and they are not capable of achieving their goals.”

His Eminence referred to the enemies’ incessant efforts to neutralize every move for reform and change in the Islamic Republic by causing an uproar in the media and provoking misgivings and pessimism in the public opinion as one of the difficulties in bringing about major change. He said, “The only effective way to confront all elements and agents, which are against change, involves refusing to be passive, showing resistance, relying on God and continuing courageously on the path to change.”

Referring to the statements of the US President about the ten-year imprisonment of people who bring down symbols of slavery and racism and about separating the children of immigrants from their parents, he said, “Of course, there is no trace of these acts of lawlessness in Western movies.”

At the end of His statements, Imam Khamenei stated that the issue of Corona is not yet over. He called on the people and officials to take seriously the observance of health guidelines and preventive measures in order to prevent the virus from spreading in the country again.
