Impartiality Toward World Divisions Meaningless: Leader

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said on December 16 that impartiality toward the current world divisions is meaningless.

The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with hundreds of Ulama (religious scholars), clerics, and theology students in Qazvin Province

Ayatollah Khamenei called Qazvin a historical, scholarly, and cultural city and advised the clerics and young theology students to revive the city through scholarship.

He stressed the necessity of becoming aware of the current philosophical theories worldwide in order to criticize them with the help of Islamic philosophy, adding that Islamic philosophy should be studied deeply for this purpose.

The Leader stressed that it is essential for clerics to stay up-to-date and adopt a political stance, adding that the country's affairs should be evaluated vigilantly by looking at the big picture in relation to the complicated plans of the enemy that are supported politically and by their media.

He added that placing too much emphasis on details should be avoided in judgments.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that having an overall perspective on the weak and strong points of the Islamic Republic and being aware of the current divisions in the world are the two conditions needed to properly judge the Islamic system's performance.

The Leader stressed that weak points also exist in the Islamic system's performance, adding that the enemies and certain uninformed or informed sources within the country magnify the country's weak points and disregard the system's abundant positive aspects in order to crush the Islamic Revolution and retreat from the current situation of Islam to the situation of centuries past.

On the current world divisions, the Leader stated that blasphemy, global arrogance, and political and economic centers of power and their lying governments stand in one faction, while nations oppressed by global cruelty stand in the other.

"Thus, remaining impartial toward these facts is meaningless," he stressed.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei said that it is important to understand the language of the people being addressed and to give adequate responses to young people's questions in order to clear up ambiguities.

The Leader advised all clerics to live an ascetic life, stressing that the main duty of theology students is to study in order to become clerics and that nothing should prevent them from this duty.

Prior to Ayatollah Khamenei's statements, the Leader's representative in Qazvin Province, Hojjatoleslam Barikbin, presented a report on the scholarly and research activities of the theological schools of Qazvin.

Ayatollah Khamenei also visited the shrine of Hussein Ibn Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza in Qazvin.
