Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, in a message to the 14th Nationwide Prayer Conference in Yazd on Wednesday, September 1, stressed the importance of performing prayer and its key role in society.
He praised the great efforts made by the relevant officials to promote prayer in society. The Leader also asked officials to make use of the existing potential to further propagate this lofty Islamic act in society.
The message was read at the conference by the director of the Leader's Office.
The Leader's representative in Yazd province and provincial Friday prayer leader, the governor general, some Majlis deputies, clerics, families of martyrs, war veterans and some other government officials attended the opening ceremony of the conference.
The participants at the conference discussed the guidelines set by the Leader as well as the strategies necessary for the promotion of the culture of prayer in society.
