Leader's speech at the inauguration ceremony of the first Quran memorization and recitation competitions

Our source of pride in front of all man-made ideologies and regimes with manifests created by insignificant, limited, and dependent minds is that the book of our revolution is the magnificent and noble Qur'an—which is composed of revelations by the Almighty, the Wise, and Omniscient and is available and understandable for everyone: for those who act and those who know, old or young. It is our mission to bring Qur'an to our daily life by unveiling it, and ending its isolation and abandonment.

All along our fight, our movement has been guided by the Qur'an and we have presented this guidance as the eternal words of our revolution. We have always taken "the most worthy among you is the most pious of you" as the basis for the social formation of our ideal society, and believed that if these words had lightened the dark nights of the western civilization, the stains of racism, fascism, and humiliation of mankind would not flash on this civilization's forehead. We have always respected the command "anyone who slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people", and believed that if the imprisoned humanity had faith in this great advice, the cruel who have sacrificed millions of people for their wishes would not be allowed to continue living. We have always upheld the words "never will Allah grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs) over the believers." and believed that if leaders of Muslim societies really paid attention to these words, the world evils would not be allowed dominance over Muslim countries.
