* Ayatollah Khamenei ends provincial tour and returns to capital
The Grand Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei received local officials, executives and directors of various organizations of Kerman Province on Monday, May 9.
In an address to the audience, the Leader described Kerman Province as abundant in natural resources, benefiting from talented human workforce and capable of attaining progress and development. He told the local officials that the existing problems in different parts of the province are by no means acceptable, and that they should be resolved as soon as possible through increased efforts of government officials and local authorities.
Referring to a recent decision by the Cabinet to redress the damage resulting from drought in various parts of the country, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the governor-general and other officials of Kerman Province should follow up the above and similar decisions with concrete measures and try to improve the condition of the province and its residents.
Elsewhere in his statements, the Leader of the Islamic Republic described Islamic management as the kind of management that is characterized by justice, sincerity and concern.
"Making selfless and unceasing efforts to solve the people's problems and handling public affairs with sincerity and dedication will surely be remunerated by the Almighty as pious deeds," he told the audience.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the fact that the conduct of high-ranking officials and managers of various state organizations will also affect the conduct of the employees of those organizations. He advised the officials to act in such a way as to be clear of any kind of discrimination, bias, extravagance, favoritism and granting underserved privileges to certain individuals.
Further in his remarks, the Leader described Iran as a divine land where talented and intelligent people live.
"The numerous God-given natural resources, the human workforce endowed with great talent, wisdom and sincerity and the lively and high-spirited young generation promise a bright future for our country. The realization of this bright future requires appropriate planning, incessant efforts and perseverance, increased knowledge and national solidarity," he told the officials.
Before the Leader's address, the governor-general of Kerman Province presented a report, in which he said that raising the living standards of local residents, improving the infrastructure, the proper management of water resources, the development of agricultural industries and increasing the resistance of buildings to earthquakes are among the priorities of the development projects currently underway in the province.
On Monday evening, Ayatollah Khamenei ended his nine-day tour of Kerman Province and returned to the capital Tehran.
