The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei attended a mourning ceremony on Saturday, July 9. The ceremony was held on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her), the noble and dignified daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his infallible household).
The ceremony was also attended by a large number of the faithful Tehran residents, who are the sincere and devoted followers of the holy prophet's household (greetings be upon them).
At the ceremony, the orators and eulogists expounded on the noble character and sublime personality of Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her) and her many virtues. Also by elaborating on the afflictions that she suffered after the holy prophet's departure, they honored her memory on the eve of her martyrdom anniversary.
Similar ceremonies will be held every night after the evening and night prayers until Monday, July 11.
