Leader Receives Army Commanders

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, received a group of senior commanders of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army on Wednesday, April 19.

Speaking at the meeting, which was held on the occasion of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army Day, the Leader commemorated the Iranian Army Day and described motivation and being hopeful about the future as the prerequisite for progress and success in performing various responsibilities.

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that morale and high spirits will result in innovation and creativity, and he called on army commanders to try to further increase the efficiency of various military units by identifying and using the services of competent servicemen, who will be the future commanders of the army.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also stressed the need for raising the level of various military skills and trainings based on a new attitude toward training, updating educational texts and utilizing the existing capabilities and potentials in an optimal manner.

The Leader further referred to the role of the army's Politico-Ideological Organization in promoting spiritual values in the army as significant.

At the meeting, the army's Chief Commander Major General Ata'ollah Salehi presented a report on the capabilities of various military units and placed emphasis on the preparedness of the three forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army.

The chief of Joint Staff and commanders of the Ground Force, Air Force and Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army also presented separate reports on the operations of various military units under their command.
