On the occasion of the auspicious birth anniversary of His Holiness Abalfazl al-Abbas (peace and greetings be upon him), the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei assigned three delegations to visit a number of war-disabled veterans on Saturday, August 18.
The delegations, which were headed by Hojjatoleslam Ghayouri, Hojjatoleslam Taqavi and Hojjatoleslam Ebrahimi, visited a number of honorable war-disabled veterans living in different parts of Tehran and asked them about their lives and their means of livelihood and inquired whether they had any problems which could be solved.
They also expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the war-disabled veterans for their devotion and self-sacrifice in the course of the eight-year Sacred Defense.
It is worthy of mention that the auspicious birth anniversary has been designated as the War-Disabled Veterans Day.
