In the beginning of his Dars-e-kharej, on December 14, 2016, the Leader of The Islamic Revolution touched on developments in Yemen and stated: “Our oppressed brothers in Yemen rose up, and so far God has granted them insight.”
His eminence also praised the status of His Majesty Zayd, son of Imam Sajjad (as).
Extracts from statements, made by His Eminence, are as follows:
“His Majesty Zayd, this lofty man, who is among the most elevated figures of the Prophet’s linage (pbut), is amongst the martyrs of the purified progeny. He is an outstanding figure and an elevated human. Some individuals are mistaken about this noble martyr (pbuh); they assume this noble man has moved against the manner and path of the Imams, and directed an uprising.
A saying is also narrated from Imam Baqer (as), it hints that Imam Baqer (as) tried to prevent him from an uprising. Even if this narration is valid, which is debatable, well, still Zeid obeyed the Imam (as) and did not rise up, during the time of Imam Baqer (as).
His uprising was at the time of Imam Sadeq (as). Anyone who reads about this noble man, will understand that he is one of the most outstanding and most illuminating figures of the Ahlulbait (Prophet’s lineage, pbut).
Now a few individuals look for excuses--on the pretext of the events in Yemen and the Zaydiyyah in Yemen—to ruin everything. That’s how it is; the arrogant system uses every means to achieve its goals. Now that our oppressed brothers have risen up in Yemen, and the Almighty God has granted them insight, and they have managed to pursue their goals, they seek to foment discord and create a problem in the midst of these events, so they talk evil of Zaydiyyah.
