The following is the full text of the message delivered on December 6, 2016 by Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on the demise of Hujjatul-Islam Astarabadi.
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
On the occasion of the seventh-day memorial of the demise of the valuable scholar – the late Hujjatul-Islam wal Muslimeen Hajj Sheikh Muhammad Fazel Astarabadi (may God bestow paradise on him) – I would like to express my condolences to his honorable family, and to his esteemed students and admirers and I ask Allah the Exalted to raise the position of that personality who was a learned person, a man of action, a cultivator of the clergy and scholars and the valuable father of a martyr.
