Leader Attends Mourning Ceremony Marking the Martyrdom Anniversary of Her Holiness Fatimah

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei attended a mourning ceremony marking the martyrdom anniversary of Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her), the noble and dignified daughter of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his infallible household), on Wednesday, June 28.

The ceremony, which was held at the Husseiniyeh of Imam Khomeini for the third consecutive night, was attended by a large group of faithful Tehran residents, the heads of three government branches and a number of government and military officials.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam Naqavian said that a family which is based on Islamic teachings and precepts is the most appropriate place for the upbringing of pious and virtuous individuals. He added that Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her) was brought up in a family that was characterized by deep faith, purity and devotion to Almighty Allah.
Furthermore, the eulogist of the holy prophet's household Hajji Mahmoud Karimi expounded on the noble character and sublime personality of Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her) and referred to the afflictions that she suffered after the holy prophet's departure.
The participants in the ceremony grieved over the martyrdom of the noble daughter of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his infallible household) on the eve of her martyrdom anniversary.
