Leader Attends Mourning Ceremony on the Last Night of Mourning for Her Holiness Fatimah

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei attended a mourning ceremony on the last night of mourning for Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her), the noble and dignified daughter of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his immaculate household), on Friday, June 30.

The ceremony, which marked the martyrdom anniversary of Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her), was held like the ceremonies on the previous nights at the Husseiniyeh of Imam Khomeini. It was attended by a large group of faithful and revolutionary Tehran residents and a number of high-ranking government officials.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam Sadiqi said that the life of Her Holiness Fatimah (greetings be upon her) pivoted on Qur'anic teachings and Islamic precepts. He noted that although the holy prophet's noble daughter lived a short life, she has been the source of many blessings in the course of history because of her acting upon divine commands and her deep faith.

Afterwards, the eulogist of the holy prophet's household Hajji Saeed Haddadiyan elaborated on the hardships and afflictions that were suffered by the household of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his immaculate household) after the holy prophet's departure.
