The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei imparted the macro policies on Clause C of Article 44 of the Iranian Constitution to the heads of three government branches and the chairman of the State Expediency Council on Sunday, July 2.
These policies are aimed at the development of non-governmental sectors, including the private sector and the cooperative sector, through the allocation of some 80 percent of the shares of state-controlled factories and economic agencies specified by Article 44 of the Iranian Constitution to non-governmental sectors, giving impetus to the country's economic growth and development in a fair and equitable manner, the elimination of poverty from society and achieving the goals envisioned by the country's 20-Year Perspective Document.
The macro policies on Clause A and Clause B of Article 44 of the Iranian Constitution had been imparted to the heads of three government branches and the chairman of the State Expediency Council last year. As a result of these policies, the government's role will be changed from direct ownership and management to policy-making, guidance and supervision.
Also, training the county's needed specialized workforce and human resources, strengthening and supporting private and cooperative sectors in the economic sphere, preparing various domestic economic agencies for global competition in a gradual and step-by-step process and raising national standards are among the main objectives pursued by these policies.
