Without Security, Economics, Culture and Public Services Cannot Be Pursued

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met Tuesday noon with the commanders and personnel of the Police Force on the occasion of Police Day.

Describing security as one of the main foundations of the country’s growth and progress, His Eminence stressed the important role of the Police Force in ensuring security, saying: “The capabilities and preparedness of the Police Force and the determination and faith of its personnel should increase on a daily basis.”

Defining security as psychological tranquility for individuals and public peace for society, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “In the absence of security, there will be no possibility to pursue various activities in the areas of the economy, culture, politics and public services even if the individuals in society have enough capabilities and motivation.”

Citing the Holy Quran, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that security is a source of increasing believers’ faith and said: “One of the most important pillars of security in the country is the Police Force. This great pillar of security is formed of human resources most of whom are competent, honorable and diligent. Therefore, the determination, faith, motivation and morale of these forces should be strengthened in a continuous manner.”

Referring to the extensive services rendered by the Police Force in the country, His Eminence highlighted the role of police stations because of their direct contact with the masses of society.

Pointing to the existence of rapid changes in different areas particularly in the area of scientific and technological breakthroughs, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces stressed the necessity of increasing preparedness and updating capabilities, identifying and fulfilling duties in a complete manner, and explaining activities and services to the people in media. His Eminence reiterated that all these measures are in line with ensuring and increasing security in the country.
