On the anniversary event, which marks the demise of a noble scholar, the lofty jurist and brightened heart mystic, his eminence Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Bahjat (May God sanctify his purified soul), the official website of Khamenei.ir published his advice to Ayatollah Khamenei. Sheikh Mohammed Taqi Bahjat recommends a specific prayer be recited regularly.
At a meeting with masters, scholars and intellectuals of Qom's seminary the Leader of the Revolution, while interpreting a statement, referred the audience to advice by the late Ayatollah Bahjat. Ayatollah Khamenei recommended the following supplication, “O’ God, O’ the Beneficent, O’ the Merciful, O One who changes the hearts, secure my heart in your religion.”[1]
He added, the late Ayatollah Bahjat (May God be satisfied with him) said recite this supplication often, "O’ God, O’ the Beneficent, O’ the Merciful, O One who changes the hearts, secure my heart in your religion."
The leader said, there would be potential questions and he would answer them, too. Someone might have asked when we say “secure my heart in your religion,” our faith is already rightful, rational and confirmed, this is for those at lower levels. He would answer that at any level where one’s heart, faith and religiosity is, there is a chance of plummeting. "Secure my heart in your religion” means maintain my faith at a high level and secure it. If this happens, life will be sweet and death will be comfortable. One of our fundamental problems is the concern of death. Imam Sajjad (pbuh) asked the Almighty God, “Let us die guided and not misguided; obedient, not reluctant, nor sinful.” This individual has always been on the path of guidance but the Imam continued to ask God, "Let us die guided and not misguided, obedient and not reluctant, nor sinful.” This reveals how dangerous things could be.
"Judgment of grace and purity comes on last day
One knows not leaving the world, how they may."
-Hafez
