The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, attended the graduation and oath-taking ceremony of the fourth batch of the cadets of various military academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army on Sunday, December 24.
At the beginning of the ceremony, which was held at the Imam Ali (greetings be upon him) Military Academy, the anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was played when the Leader entered the parade ground. Then, Ayatollah Khamenei paid homage to the honorable martyrs of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army in front of the Martyrs Memorial.
Afterwards, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces reviewed the military units present on the parade ground.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the choosing of the right path and the firm determination and incessant efforts to tread that path as the prerequisite for the attainment of noble ideals and objectives. He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army is able to help determined and resolute individuals accomplish the celestial ascension which the pious and dedicated servants of Allah are always dreaming of.
The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran described the receiving of epaulets by the cadets as marking the beginning of their striving in the way of Allah. He told the cadets that their strong will and firm determination, the strength associated with their youth as well as the favorable atmosphere existing under the system of the Islamic Republic have prepared a suitable ground for their progress and the fulfillment of their potential.
"Today, the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is in the vanguard of a movement which the Muslim Ummah is looking forward to," Ayatollah Khamenei stated.
The Commander of the Imam Ali (greetings be upon him) Military Academy Brigadier General Rashidzadeh, also speaking at the ceremony, presented a report about the fourth preliminary combat training course of the cadets of various military academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army.
Further during the ceremony, a number of war-disabled veterans, former prisoners of war, families of honorable martyrs and exemplary cadets and military instructors of the Imam Ali (greetings be upon him) Military Academy received their awards from the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Also, Ayatollah Khamenei conferred epaulets on the cadets who had completed the fourth preliminary combat training course.
At the end of the ceremony, the military units present on the parade ground marched past the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces.
