Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met Monday with members of International Seminarian Poetry Festival.
His Eminence referred to the significance of poetry in Islamic seminaries and the importance it enjoys among great Shia scholars, reiterating: “Attention to the issue of poetry and being a good poet does not contradict seminary learning and knowledge and any other issue that is important to Islamic seminaries.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated that the emanation of poetry’s scent in the scholarly environment of Islamic seminaries is a source of breathing, adding: “Today, there are good talents in Islamic seminaries in the area of poetry. Because seminarian poets have an Islamic mindset and because their thoughts originate from correct religious sources, their poems can be very beneficial.”
