The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, attended the graduation ceremony of the 17th batch of cadets of the Law Enforcement Force (LEF) on Wednesday, November 7.
At the beginning of the ceremony, which was held at the Law Enforcement Force Academy, the anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was played when the Leader entered the parade ground. "Today, the Law Enforcement Force is at the service of the general public and on the side of people and their protector. This is the reason why all the Iranian people are proud of this force and have confidence in it," Ayatollah Khamenei remarked.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces described benevolence and kindness toward the general public and firmness and decisiveness in the face of lawbreakers and those causing disorder in society as the two main aspects of the responsibility entrusted to the Law Enforcement Force.
"Religious faith and belief in Allah, commitment to one's duties, a sense of responsibility, benevolence toward the general public and valor in dealing with those undermining security in society are the important features that should be manifested by the Law Enforcement Force," Ayatollah Khamenei told the audience.
Further in his statements, the Leader of the Islamic Republic referred to the glorious achievements of the Iranian people that have brought honor and dignity to the Iranian nation in the region and in the world.
"Those bearing ill will and hostility toward the Iranian nation consider the achievements and honor of our nation contrary to their illegitimate interests. Therefore, they are seeking to create obstacles in the way of our scientific and political progress and foment insecurity in our country, and the Law Enforcement Force should remain quite vigilant in this respect," the Leader observed.
Ayatollah Khamenei also stated that all Iranians have an equal right to enjoy security and peace of mind in society.
"All members of the Iranian society to whatever religious and ethnic group they belong and with whatever political taste and inclination have an equal right to security, and it is only the lawbreakers and those undermining security that should feel insecure in society," Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out.
