In the run-up to the commencement of Fajr ceremonies (February 1-11) which are held to celebrate the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution paid homage to the memory of the magnanimous Imam Khomeini at his shrine on Thursday, January 31.
Imam Khomeini was the founder of the Islamic Republic whose return from exile on February 1, 1979 led to the overthrow of Mohammad Reza Shah.
Afterwards, His Eminence paid a visit to the holy tombs of Haftom Tir and Golzar Shohada martyrs and prayed to Almighty Allah to raise their holy souls to the highest positions.
