In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
"Surely we are Allah's, and to Him we shall surely return."
I received the news of the demise of the pious clergyman and exalted Islamic jurisprudent Ayatollah Hajji Mirza Javad Tabrizi with great sadness and deep regret.
He was one of the most prominent instructors at the Islamic seminary in the holy city of Qom, and a large number of scholars and theology students benefited from the profound knowledge and the scientific research of this senior Islamic jurisprudent over several decades.
The piety and austerity of this great man alongside his humble manners and his paternal attitude toward his students and adherents made him a very popular personality among theology students and youngsters and Basijis, and his presence on various scenes of revolutionary epics imbued this benevolent personality with increased magnanimity.
The noble residents of Qom still remember his dignified countenance at the times when he took part in the funeral processions of honorable martyrs in the Sacred Defense era.
The departure of this senior Islamic jurisprudent and eminent scientific personality is an irretrievable loss to the Islamic seminaries.
I express my condolence over the loss of this magnanimous clergyman to the senior Ulema and Islamic seminaries and the entire Iranian nation, especially the students and adherents and followers as well as the esteemed family and honorable progeny of the deceased, and I pray to Almighty Allah to bestow on his soul the best rewards that His pious servants deserve.
