Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran attended a mourning ceremony marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (a.s.) and his faithful companions on Thursday, January 17 in Imam Khomeini Husseinieh. Speaking at the mourning ceremony, which was attended by people of various social strata and public officials, His Eminence explained the various aspects and objectives of the Ashura uprising.
This ceremony started on January 16 and will continue until Sunday, January 20.
